I was visiting a gym with a friend of mine and they had this homemade platform set up. You put the belt on your waist and let the weights dangle in the open slot while standing with one foot on each platform.
Then you simply squat down and stand back up.
All the weight is low so you can do more weight than a high bar barbell squat. That of course doesn’t mean that these are better than regular squats. In fact it’s quite the contrary. This method is just to do something different. For me it was a great way to take a break from the tough barbell squats and still get a great workout in. This is also perfect for a home gym do-it-yourselfer.
Remember even though you may not lift as much weight the harder exercise is always more benificial.
