Almost a week of hot temperatures across the United Kingdom has relaxed a bit on Saturday as the high was near 24C (75F), but that cooler air turned hotter again for Sunday.
The hot weather has been not only deadly to between 540 and 760 people, according to the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine, but has also caused some fires to develop Thursday and Friday.
A fire in Epping Forest, near East London, had more than 100 firefighters tackling the blaze. Making the fire worse is the lack of rainfall, as only 0.04 of an inch of rain fell on London/Heathrow airport from July 1st through July 20th. This is only three percent of normal rainfall for the month.
