Off-Season Strength and Conditioning for Triathletes

Traditionally endurance athletes and triathletes in particular tend to steer clear of the gym and strength training citing a fear of bulking up, lack of time and a need to be spending those precious hours swim, bike or running instead of in the gym. But as a successful age group athlete and experienced Sports Massage Therapist who sees the problems with not incorporating a strength programme into their training every day in clinic, I want to give you the reasons why I think you should be hitting the gym this winter and what you can do in order to get ahead of your competition next season.
